Teacher resigns after student found locked in classroom

FLOYDS KNOBS, IN (WAVE) - A New Albany-Floyd County teacher has resigned after school administrators say the teacher accidentally locked a student in a classroom at the end of the school day.

This happened back in early February at Highland Hills Middle School.

A custodian found the student and took him to the office where his parents were called.

We're told the teacher was placed on administrative leave and later resigned.
