LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The Jefferson County Constable charged in connection with a shooting in a Walmart parking lot has made his way through Metro Corrections.
As a requirement of his $10,000, David Whitlock had to report to corrections for processing and that includes a mug shot.
Whitlock faces charges for firing his gun at Tammy Ortiz in the parking lot of the PRP Walmart after Whitlock says he was asked to help detain a shoplifter.
A grand jury indicted him on assault and wanton endangerment charges. Whitlock claimed Ortiz ran over his foot as she drove her truck away from the Walmart. He now says his gun accidentally went off. Whitlock can't possess a firearm or have contact with Ortiz, who is also know as Tammy Jamian, while he awaits his trial.
Whitlock is scheduled to be back in court March 21.
