The future of Kentucky Kingdom to be decided Thursday

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - We continue to track progress as the future of the former Kentucky Kingdom shapes up.

A spokeswoman for the Kentucky Fair Board says the board has reached a tentative agreement with Bluegrass Boardwalk. They will discuss and vote on the issue during their regular meeting on Thursday, February 23 at 1 p.m.

The Koch family, of Holiday World fame, formed Bluegrass Boardwalk to explore the comeback of Kentucky Kingdom.

A Fair Board spokesperson says they hope the park can be reopened before May of 2013.
