Old Louisville church struggles while helping community

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - An Old Louisville church struggling to make ends meet is still finding a way to help others.

A generator is keeping things moving along at Lampton Baptist Church off of South Fourth Street.

They've been without electricity for some time because the congregation doesn't have the money to pay bills. But, they continue to find the resources to help the needy with food and clothing donations.

"If I continue to do what He has ordered me to do. If I handle His business. He will handle ours," said Christine Johnson, Associate Minister.

Johnson says they'll continue to help with food and clothing donations every Wednesday as long as they can.
