SHEPHERDSVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Dozens of people could have lost their jobs as Bullitt County Public Schools looked to save money. We've learned the district will not outsource those jobs after all.
The superintendent was looking at out-sourcing custodian jobs to save money, but that's off the table for a board meeting tonight.
Keith Davis said the move would save the district $240,000 per year, but 80 workers would lose their jobs. Davis says the board was swamped with e-mails, phone calls, and social media comments to keep those workers working.
