Group hoping to open theme park won't ask for state money

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – The group hoping to reopen Kentucky Kingdom said it won't ask for any money from state lawmakers for their plan.

Members of the Koch family, who hope to open Bluegrass Boardwalk, are applying for economic development incentives from the Commonwealth. According to a news release from the group today that could include some tax breaks.

At least one family member will be on hand Thursday as the fair board votes on a tentative deal for the Kochs to take over the Louisville theme park.
