Police investigate possible connection between two early morning shootings

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Metro police are investigating the shooting of a man early Wednesday who ended up at a downtown fast food restaurant.

According to LMPD, the wounded man showed up at the White Castle at 7th and Broadway around 4:30 a.m. with gunshot wounds. He was taken to University Hospital for treatment of what are said to be non-life threatening injuries.

Police are not sure where the man was shot.

Police suspect the shooting is in connection with another that happened at 5 a.m. Wednesday in the Beecher Terrace area. A 21-year-old man had a gunshot wound to the hand and was transported to University Hospital.

Detectives believe there was altercations involving these two men, but the information detectives are receiving are not adding up.
