(source: LMDC)LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Louisville father is facing charges after police said he assaulted his 9-month-old daughter. 31-year-old Aaron Ardaiz is accused of causing severe bruising to his baby's face and head.
Ardaiz was arrested Tuesday night at Baptist East Hospital. St. Matthews Police were called their in reference to his daughter's condition. When they arrived they say Ardaiz had to be physically restrained on the ground. When officers tried to get him up, he charged at an officer and had to be tased.
Police reports show his blood alcohol level was .17.
He was taken to jail on charges of public intoxication, resisting arrest, 4th degree assault and disorderly conduct. A charge of criminal abuse for the bruises found on his daughter was later added.
The girl was transferred from Baptist to Kosair Children's Hospital.
No word on her condition.
