AMBER Alert canceled for two girls taken from Tennessee

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – An Amber Alert has been canceled for two girls who were taken from Tennessee.

Police say the girls were found safe in Maryland. They say the couple, who is accused of taking the girls, is in custody. 

Police said the girls, 3-year-old Summer Knasel and 4-year-old Lovell Knasel, were taken by their parents who do not have custody.

The couple, Jeremy Knasel and Ashley Norberg are believed to be driving an older model, dark blue Chevy Astro van with Tennessee license plates.

The couple is believe to be armed with a handgun.

When police tried to track the couple's cell phones they got a ping from Lexington, which means they could be in Kentucky.
