Clark Co., IN tornado classified as EF4, among worst 2% ever recorded

HENRYVILLE, IN (WAVE) - The National Weather Service has classified Friday's deadly tornado that destroyed large sections of Clark County, IN an EF4 with wind speeds topping 175 miles-per-hour.

Joe Sullivan with the NWS said the tornado was a low-end EF4 that ranked among the worst two-percent of tornadoes ever recorded.

Sullivan said the two tornadoes that touched down in Trimble County, KY were an EF3 and an EF2.

An EF5 tornado is the worst.
