$1 million Powerball ticket sold in Mount Washington

MOUNT WASHINGTON, KY (WAVE) - Someone who bought a Powerball ticket in Mount Washington, KY is $1 million richer and might not even know it.

A ticket sold at the Five Star Food Mart on Highway 44E matched all five numbers but not the Powerball in the Wednesday, March 7 drawing. The retailer will receive $10,000 for selling the winning ticket.

A $60 million ticket was sold in Rhode Island. The ticket holder matched all five numbers and the Powerball.

The winning numbers were: 12 – 35 – 45 – 46 – 47 and the Powerball was 12.

Kentucky Lottery officials urge the million dollar winner to sign the back of their ticket immediately. The winner has 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.

This is the third $1 million winning Powerball ticket won in Kentucky since the game was enhanced with better odds, bigger jackpots and more millionaires on January 15.
