Gerber recalls formula due to smell

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Gerber has recalled some of its powered formula after consumers reported a foul smell coming from the jars.

The formula being recalled is the Gerber Good Start Gentle Powdered Infant Formula. The product is sold in a 23.2 ounce plastic container with a batch number of GXP 1684 and has an expiration date of March 5, 2013.

Gerber said the product is safe, but is offering free replacements.
