Former WAVE personality Chuck Casteel dies at 70

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Former WAVE 3 TV and radio personality Chuck Casteel has passed away.

Casteel was not only a radio personality; he also hosted the high school academic contest called High Q.

His wife, Dot, said Casteel loved WAVE, loved the High Q program and loved the kids he worked with on it.

According to his wife, he had a heart transplant in 2003; he suffered a massive stroke in 2009 and his health deteriorated since then.

He died at his home in Naples, Florida early Tuesday morning. He was 70-years-old.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
