Indiana to drop unemployment benefits

INDIANAPOLIS (WAVE) – Ten thousand Indiana residents were informed Tuesday they will no longer receive unemployment benefits.

The change is due to a drop in the state's unemployment rate.

Currently, the unemployment rate stands at 8.7 percent. The Indiana Department Workforce said Indiana residents will no longer be eligible for extended benefits after April 15.
