Man involved in shooting takes plea deal

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A man involved in a deadly shooting that took place four years ago has been sentenced to 10 years in jail.

In court Tuesday, Damon Phelps took a plea that he will testify against Reginald Grider during his trial in April.

In return, his murder and robbery charge was amended to facilitation to murder and facilitation to robbery.

Both men were charged in connection to the 2008 deadly shooting of Cesareo Gomez at the Yorktown Apartments.
