LOUISVILLE,
KY (WAVE) – A Louisville Metro police officer could face criminal charges for
an incident first reported by the WAVE 3 Troubleshooter.
Video
posted to You Tube showed Officer James Conley striking a suspect in the head
with his police flashlight at Fourth Street Live! last September.
22-year-old Zachary Hoagland
suffered a gashed ear. He was charged with public intoxication and resisting
arrest.
After
five months of investigation, LMPD's Public integrity unit presented it's own
findings to the Jefferson County Commonwealth's Attorney's office, which will
decide whether criminal charges should be filed.
A
decision could come within weeks.
