Fire breaks out at Camp Taylor plant

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A chemical mixture sparked a fire at a Camp Taylor area plant.

The fire broke out around 11:30 Thursday morning at Premiere Packaging, a plant that produces box foam, on Produce Road.

Fire investigators tell us chemicals weren't mixed properly, which ignited a fire in the trash compactor.

One employee went to the hospital from the toxic smoke.
