Shooting leads to chase in two Kentucky counties

WADDY, KY (WAVE) - Kentucky State Police are investigating a shooting and high-speed chase along Interstate 64.

A KSP spokesperson said the Frankfort post received a complaint at 10:43 p.m. Thursday of shots fired and vehicles chasing each other along westbound I-64 in Franklin County.

Troopers investigating the complaint found that multiple people in two vehicles met in a parking lot off U.S. 127 and got into a dispute, which led to a shooting. A high-speed chase between the two vehicles followed. It ended at the Waddy exit in Shelby County.

One person was taken to University of Louisville Hospital with a gunshot wound that was not life-threatening.

One of the vehicles left the scene.

The shooting remains under investigation.
