LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Louisville escaped the eye of the storm last week – barely. Tornados barreling toward the city took a different path and friends, family and neighbors in nearby communities in Southern Indiana and Central and Eastern Kentucky took the pummeling.
Our hearts and prayers are with all affected by the devastation. Loss of life is never easy to accept, especially as a result of Mother Nature's fury.
Helping the healing process is the outpouring of support by as compassionate a community as there is anywhere in the country.
You raised your hands to help right away. You used your hands to help in ways small and large. So many of you have donated money to assist the Red Cross, Salvation Army and many others who are providing comfort and support.
As relief and recovery replace heartache and heartbreak, your response to the call to help has been overwhelming.
