LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A public health alert has been issued concerning patties sent from Canada to the United States because they may contain E. coli.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service was notified by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency that ground beef patties associated with a Canadian health alert may have been exported to the United States

The toll-free USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline (1-888-674-6854) can also be reached from l0 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Recorded food safety messages are available 24 hours a day.
