LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A cat was stabbed and left for dead. Now Louisville Metro Animal Services is looking for who is responsible and they will pay for information.

LMAS found the cat behind an apartment on East Kingston Avenue Tuesday night.

Witnesses told police they saw juveniles near the cat and then saw them walking away carrying a weapon.

The Shamrock Arrow Fund told WAVE 3 the cat, named Gabby, was stabbed twice. They performed surgery on her and she is recovering.

LMAS is asking for anyone with information to contact them at (502) 363-6609. They are offering a $2,500 reward.
