A frightening story is unfolding right now as police continue to search for two men who shot a 16-year-old girl during a mugging attempt in New Albany. WAVE 3's Maira Ansari will tell you about the other crime the men are wanted for.

A beloved Charlestown High School teacher remains in the hospital with serious injuries after police say an intoxicated driver with a young child in the car hit the woman in front of the school last night. We're told the teacher, Nicole Morrison, is extremely well-liked. Today at 5, WAVE 3's Jaimie Weiss will tell you what investigators say the driver had been taking just before the crash.

A man convicted of attempted rape two years ago was set free on shock probation. Tonight, reporter Katie Bauer explains the new effort to make sure Michael Settles stays behind bars.

You'll also hear about a man accused of leaving his two toddlers alone in the family van for nearly an hour. Find out what happened to the kids and what police say the father was doing while his children waited things out.
