Man arrested for shooting cat with arrow

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Metro police have made an arrest after a cat was found shot with an arrow and left for dead.

According to a release from the Louisville Metro Animal Services, 21-year-old Jeric Flores admitted to police and investigators from Animal Services that he shot the cat.

Gabby the cat was found on East Kingston Avenue, on March 27, behind an apartment.

She had been shot with the arrow and had to undergo several surgeries.

Flores was arrested and charged with cruelty to animals and tampering with evidence.

If convicted, he could face up to five years in prison.
