We're getting disturbing information today about an apparent murder-suicide attempt in Jeffersonville. Police say an 8-year-old girl survived being shot in the head, but her mother was found dead inside their apartment. WAVE 3's Elizabeth Donatelli wil have some surprising details for you about the little girl's injuries and the person who called 911.

Also today, live team coverage of the Kentucky State Reformatory prisoner who was recaptured this morning in La Grange, hours after he escaped from a hospital where he was being treated last night. WAVE 3's Scott Adkins explains how a text led to Christopher Claxton's capture. WAVE 3's John Boel talked with the president of Baptist Hospital Northeast and found out who he blames for the escape.
