Police arrest two, one still at large in Kroger shooting

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Two suspects have been arrested and one is still at large after Louisville Metro police were lead to an apartment after receiving a tip.

At 7 p.m. on Friday, police arrested 19-year-old Devonnte Jammal McElroy and charged him with criminal attempt murder and first degree robbery.

Police said McElroy is believed to be the shooter in the robbery that took place at the Kroger on New Cut Road where a store manager was shot in the shoulder.

Police also arrested a 16-year-old female and charged her with first degree robbery. Both were arrested outside of the Yorktown Apartments in the Auburndale neighborhood.

A third suspect in the case is still at large. He is believed to be a man in his 30's. If you have any information on this case you are asked to call police at (502) 574- LMPD.
