Kentuckiana's Greatest Generation - Lawrence Trump

Was stationed at Bowman Field when WWII started. Worked and aircraft mechanic.

Married in Oct. 31, 1941 and Pearl Harbor was hit on Dec. 7. He couldn't leave base. He went to Texas for awhile, then overseas to one of the islands.

When he came home he got out of the service. Was not injured in war but a airplane hanger door closed on his arm and he still has a steel plate in his arm.

He is 83 now.
