Jury reaches verdict in John Jones' attempted murder trial

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The jury has reached a verdict in the attempted murder trial against John "Hot Boy' Jones.

The jury has found Jones guilty of tampering with a witness and resisting arrest, but found him not guilty of attempted murder.

Jones was arrested for the December 2010 shooting at Jamestown Apartments in St. Matthews after a woman was shot in the face.

The defense alleged St. Matthews police made big mistakes with the photo lineup and the investigation.

They also claim the victim herself lied several times and wasn't a credible witness.
