ELIZABETHTOWN, KY (WAVE) - A driver claims a stuck flip flop caused her to crash into an Elizabethtown business late Monday afternoon.

Police said the woman was in the process of dropping off her children at Kumon Learning Center on North Dixie Highway when she slammed into the front of the building around 5 p.m. She told witnesses that her flip flop got stuck on the gas pedal, and she could not get it undone.

Three children were inside the car when it happened. No one in the car was injured, but at least two people inside the building's waiting room suffered minor scratches. They were treated at the scene by EMS workers.
