NEW ALBANY, IN (WAVE) - Floyd Memorial Rehabilitation Services is now offering pregnancy massages at the Outpatient Rehabilitation facility, located at 1700 State Street in New Albany.
The massages are provided by certified pregnancy massage therapists utilizing a special prenatal massage table. There are several benefits of pregnancy massages, including:
· Relief from muscle pain associated with pregnancy
· Increase in blood and lymph circulation, which can reduce swelling
· Reduces stress on weight-bearing joints
· Improves skin pliability
· Provides physical and emotional support for the expectant mother
The massages are offered during all trimesters of pregnancy at the rate of $60 an hour, or $35 for 30 minutes. During the months of May and June there will be a $5 discount on pregnancy massages. To schedule an appointment, call 812-948-7416.
