Officer involved in West Louisville shooting identified

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Many people in Kentuckiana know of the Louisville Metro police Officer who shot a woman Thursday in the second round of gunfire that broke out at 32nd and Greenwood in the Parkland neighborhood.
It was total chaos when two women started arguing and police say one woman shot and killed 24-year-old Makeba Lee and then that woman pointed her weapon at officer Vadim Dale.
That's when Dale shot her. Lee is currently in the hospital with non life threatening injuries.
Dale ended up in Louisville after choosing a woman from here as the winner in the reality show Outback Jack in Australia.
They moved to Louisville. Once here, he handled search dogs used in the Ivan Cano murder case and testified in the trial of Cecil New.
Then he joined the LMPD force as an officer about two and a half years ago.
