LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Six people escaped from a burning home in west Louisville Monday morning, even thought firefighters said it had no working smoke detectors.
The fire started in the home on Cecil Avenue around 6:30 a.m.
Fire crews were told children on the second floor saw smoking coming from an electrical outlet, called 911 and get everyone out of the home to safety.
The fire was contained to the upstairs. Firefighters tried to salvage what was left on the first floor.
