Firefighter transported to hospital after lawn chemical spill

OWENSBORO, KY (WAVE) – A lawn service truck carrying weed killing chemicals ended up on its top.

Some chemicals did leak onto the road, but crews were able to stop it.

The lawn truck and another car collided. Neither driver was hurt, but a firefighter was taken to the hospital as a precaution after breathing in some of the chemicals.

The road was shut down while crews cleaned up the mess.
