Louisville man invited to take part in Olympic torch event

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Louisville man has received a special invitation to participate in the Olympics.

According to his wife, Carolyn, Rahman Ali, the brother of boxing legend Muhammad Ali, will be in London on July 20 to attend an Olympic touch event.

On July 12, Rahman and Carolyn Ali attended a going away party held for them before they departed to London.

Rahman was a boxer, but never made it to the Olympics.

The 2012 London Summer Olympics, officially the Games of the XXX Olympiad, run July 27 to August 12.
