Katherine Kington

Katherine is excited to be back in the Louisville area! Katherine was born and raised in Louisville and is thrilled to be part of the WAVE 3 News team.

Katherine joined WAVE 3 in July 2012. She reports for WAVE 3 News Sunrise Monday through Thursday mornings and anchors Sunrise on Sunday mornings. She'll help you get a jump on your day by reporting what you need to know.

Katherine attended Ballard High School and graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor's degree in radio, television and film, focusing on broadcast journalism. She minored in political science.

Before joining WAVE 3, Katherine covered the East Alabama market as a bureau reporter for WTVM in Columbus, GA. She was then moved to the main station in Columbus where she reported the daily news and anchored the weekend newscasts.
