Dog abused and burned in Nelson County

BARDSTOWN, KY (WAVE) – A dog is clinging to life after being abused and severely burned in Nelson County, Kentucky.

The dog was taken to the Barktown Rescue in Bardstown Wednesday with severe second and third degree burns on its back.

A witness said they saw the dog being dumped out of a pickup truck near the Heaven Hill Distillery.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Nelson County Animal Shelter at 502-349-2082.
