(ELIZABETHTOWN, KY.) Sixteen of the biggest names in Kentucky High School Basketball History met in at the historic State Theatre in Elizabethtown for the inaugural Kentucky High School Basketball Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
"You've got just iconic players going back to the 1940's, on up through the '90's. It's just a rich, cross section of different parts of the state", said longtime sports journalist, Billy Reed.
The collection of high school icons from "King" Kelly Coleman to Wes Unseld turned other inductees such as Rex Chapman into fans themselves. "it's amazing, from Wah Wah to Cliff (Hagan) who looks like he could still play", said the former Apollo High School star.
Elizabethtown will be the home of the Hall of Fame Museum which plans to have 100 inductees by 2018 which will be the 100th anniversary of the Kentucky Boys' State Tournament.
