LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – The identities of a mother and her two children shot to death in Pleasure Ridge Park have been released.

Sadé Goldsmith, 26, and her two sons John Devine Jr., 6, and JonT Devine, 5, were all killed in their home shortly before 6 a.m. Sunday in the 6100 block of Maravian Drive.

A man who was at the residence was also shot and was transported to University of Louisville Hospital.

Officers arrived at the house after received an alarm system alert. Police believe the man shot and the mother had a prior relationship. They are not looking for a shooter in this case but would not confirm or deny if they believed the crime scene was a murder-suicide.

Community Activist Christopher 2X spoke on behalf of the mother and grandmother of the three murder victims.

"She doesn't have words to fit with the actual tragedy. She never thought she would be the recipient of this kind of news," he said.

The mother and grandmother is now left to plan their funerals.

"Her daughter was a practicing nurse. She worked with children. She loved working with children. She had just moved to that PRP neighborhood," he said.

Things appeared to be going well for Sadé, but her mother said she had concerns about her ex-boyfriend, who is the father of the two kids.

"Her mother was gravely concerned about the person they feel took these children's lives," he said.

That man was found shot inside the home. Police aren't naming him as a suspect, but add that they aren't looking for a shooter.

Coroner Joanne Farmer said the cause of death on the mother and her two children is pending on an autopsy which will be preformed Monday morning.

The man in the hospital remains in critical condition, but is stable.
