La Grange votes in favor of new alcohol regulations

LA GRANGE, KY (WAVE) – The polls are closed for residents in LaGrange who voted on alcohol sales in the city.

Elections officials estimated about 10 percent of voters turned out the Tuesdays vote. 751 voted in favor of the law and 330 voted against.

The vote will now allow smaller restaurants to sell beer, wine and liquor.

The new law will also allow some liquor stores in the city. It is unclear when the new regulations will kick into effect.
