LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Planning a trip to the Kentucky State Fair just got easier. This year, fairgoers can preplan their entire visit before arriving at the Kentucky Exposition Center.
On Tuesday, fair officials announced a portable online itinerary called "Plan Your Visit." It allows visitors to plan their own fair schedule ahead of time by choosing the events, shows and exhibits they want to attend and at exactly what time.
The "Plan Your Visit" tool can be accessed through the Kentucky State Fair website at www.kystatefair.org by selecting the "General Info" tab and then the "Plan Your Visit" tab. It also is available on smartphones.
In additions, the bulky 88-page daily schedule fairgoers received when arriving at the gates will be replaced this year with a smaller, easier-to-read Fair Guide pamphlet. It will list all fair events along with their locations.
This year's Kentucky State Fair will be held August 16 to 26. WAVE 3 Day at the Fair is Saturday, August 18.
