A pair of Olympians with Bluegrass connections have captured medals at the London Games.
Swimmer Claire Donahue, a WKU grad, earned a gold after the U.S. women's medley relay team set a world record in taking that event on Saturday night. While she didn't swim in the relay finale, Donahue is a part of this gold medal squad since she swam in Friday's medley prelim to qualify the U.S. for the finals.
Also, cyclist Dotsie Bausch who is from Louisville and a Ballard High grad, pedaled her way to the silver medal in the women' team pursuit competition. Bausch and her U.S. teammates finished in back of Great Britain, as that team won the event in world record time.
