LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Transit Authority of River City is once again providing special service to and from the Kentucky State Fair.
TARC buses will run a special fair route from August 16 through August 26. It will depart every 70 minutes (one hour and ten minutes) from 6:30 a.m. until 8:30 p.m.
The stop is at Fifth and Market Streets in downtown Louisville. Passengers should look for buses displaying the sign "2 Fairgrounds." A one-way trip costs $1.75 for an adult and 80 cents for children six to 17 and seniors 55 and up. Children under five ride free.
Additional TARC service near the Kentucky Exposition Center is available at Crittenden Drive (Route 2) and Preston Highway (Route 18), but those buses will not enter the fairgrounds.
