SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (AP) - Favored Wise Dan found a narrow seam along the rail at midstretch and scored a five-length victory over Corporate Jungle in the $500,000 Fourstardave Handicap at Saratoga Race Course on Saturday.
John Velazquez, inducted into the Racing Hall of Fame on Friday, rode the 5-year-old gelding to his second win in three starts this season, covering a mile over a yielding inner turf course in 1:37.30. The Charles Lopresti-trained winner earned $300,000 for owner Morton Fink.
Wise Dan paid $5, $3.30 and $2.40; Corporate Jungle paid $4 and $2.90; and Get Stormy, third of seven, paid $3 to show.
