Fire guts PRP home

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Pleasure Ridge Park family is woke up to smoke and flames inside their home early Wednesday morning.

Dispatchers got the call around 1:30 a.m. to a home on Franklin Ave.

When firefighters arrived they say flames had spread throughout the house.

It took crews about a half hour to get the flames out, but not before the fire had gutted the house.

One firefighter got over-headed and had to be treated at the scene.

Everyone who lived at the address got out safely.
