LuckyMADISON COUNTY, KY (WAVE) – A 3-month-old kitten who was nearly beaten to
death has survived a four hour surgery.
The kitten, named Lucky, had two broken front legs and other injuries after he
was slammed to the ground, chocked and
hit with a golf club.
Rocky Alexander said he found the kitten that was left for dead. The person
who told Alexander what happened to Lucky would not talk to police, so
currently the suspected animal abuser is not facing any charges.
The doctors who performed surgery on Lucky said his legs should heal but his
blood count is extremely low. If it drops lower he may need a blood
transfusion.
Alexander had enough money to put a down payment on Lucky's surgery, but the
entire bill is expected to run about $4,500.
