And then came the rain …

We got a good soaking tonight… along with some very strong winds.  The WAVE 3 Weather Team is tracking the storm as it continues to move through the area and WAVE 3 Chief Meteorologist Kevin Harned will have a damage report when you join us for WAVE 3 News at 11.

Imagine sending your son off to serve this country and then later not having enough money to pay for his funeral.  The Kentuckiana mother of a marine who died in a car accident is doing her best to raise enough money to say goodbye to her son properly.  We'll tell you what she needs from all of us.

WAVE 3's Connie Leonard is gathering reaction tonight on the news we learned this afternoon … that longtime Louisville philanthropist Owsley Brown Frazier has died.  Hear how Kentuckiana is remembering the man who tried to make our area a better place.

The first day of the Kentucky State Fair is in the books, but many more are to come.  Don't forget to make plans to join us in South Wing "A" of the Kentucky Expo Center Saturday for WAVE 3 Day at the Fair.  We'll be there from 10-6!

We'll see you after Rock Center with Brian Williams for WAVE 3 News at 11!
