Man arrested after allegedly pistol whipping car lot employee

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – The man who police said pistol whipped workers at a Pleasure Ridge Park car lot has been arrested.

Police have charged Raquan Carmichael, 22, in the case.

According to police, on Tuesday at Belgray Auto Sales located on Dixie Highway near Greenwood Road, a woman who had bought a car showed up and refused to make a payment.

She said just weeks after she had bought the car that it did not run well.

Managers said the woman started hitting an employee in the head and Carmichael jumped in. Several employees tried to help.

Police said one employee was hit with the butt of Carmichael's gun, other employees suffered cuts and bruises.

A shot was fired, but fortunately, nobody was hit.

Carmichael is charged with assault, wanton endangerment and tampering with physical evidence.
