West Nile case confirmed in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – The Metro Health Department confirmed the first human case of West Nile virus in Louisville.

Louisville has had one human case each year for the past three years.

The latest patient is recovering.

2012 has been one of the worst years in a decade for West Nile in the country.
