FORT WORTH, TX (WAVE) – A
young Kentucky mother of three girls is behind bars in Texas facing felony
charges after one daughter was found dead in her home.
Tiffany Klapheke, 21, who
was raised by her adopted mother, was living with her kids on the Dyess Air Force
Base where her husband was stationed.
Lynn Mynhier, Klapheke's
biological mother said, "I know she loved the kids very much. She was always bragging on
them and taking pictures and posting them."
The autopsy indicates 22-month-old Tamryn who died was suffering from dehydration and
malnutrition consistent with a prolonged lack of basic care.
Klapheke's other two
daughters, ages three
and six months, are getting treatment at the Cook Children's
Medical Center in Fort Worth Texas.
Klapheke is facing three
charges of felony injury. Her bond has been set at $500,000.
