Now in its 13th year, Global Gourmet is an annual event designed to support the programs of Kentucky Refugee Ministries. The funds raised by Global Gourmet help maintain the highest quality of services for refugees in our community.

Kentucky Refugee Ministries (KRM) assists refugees who have been legally admitted to the United States as victims of warfare or other forms of persecution because of their religious or political beliefs. The program provides them with apartments and furnishings, helps enroll children in school, gets families to medical treatment and secures employment for family members who are able to go to work. Long-term assistance includes job upgrades, immigration processes and classes and preparation of individuals to become naturalized American citizens.

Kentucky Refugee Ministries benefits from the help of many volunteers from service and educational institutions in the Louisville community. They rely on your help as volunteers, donors and event sponsors.  Regardless of how you become involved, please do so.  Getting to know refugees is a rewarding experience that promotes peace and plants the seeds of better international understanding, one individual or family at a time.
