MILTON, KY (WAVE) - The Milton-Madison
bridge is a step closer to completion as crews floated the second section of
the bridge in place.
The very slow process of
moving the piece started Monday morning.
The 727-foot section took several tug boats to
move into place. The span weighs about 2,000 tons and was floated from the Milton
shoreline.
The $100 million project
is a joint effort of both Kentucky and Indiana to replace the U.S. 421 Bridge.
